Paul Stamets has been a dedicated mycologist for over thirty years. Over this time, he has discovered and coauthored four new species of mushrooms, and pioneered countless techniques in the field of edible and medicinal mushroom cultivation. He received the 1998 “Bioneers Award” from The Collective Heritage Institute, and the 1999 “Founder of a New Northwest Award” from the Pacific Rim Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils. In 2008, Paul received the National Geographic Adventure Magazine’s Green-Novator and the Argosy Foundation’s E-chievement Awards. He was also named one of Utne Reader’s “50 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World” in their November–December 2008 issue.

In my opinion and experience, mushrooms can really be one of the biggest part of healing and get the Real health back. Of course we have to give energy for that we can have clean and unmodified food for everyone here.

I have had amazing results using mycorrhizal fungi soil ammendments in my garden and potted plants. The results are better than any fertilizer I have ever come across. I will not garden without them. Proof that our ecosystem is connected at so many levels mutually beneficial.

The brief vid you offered of Paul Stamets at Costa Mesa was off the hook with beautiful, mysterious and hopeful information that was so totally unexpected and so lovingly produced and photographed. I’ve been a fan of Paul Stamets since I discovered Fungi Perfecti a year ago, adding to my inherent love for all mushrooms, many of which are an important part of my every-day diet. Thank you. Even though the audio coming through my computer was very broken up, the message of the message came through loud and clear.

I grew up learning all about shrooms and I always loved them. They are beautiful, most taste great and they have healing powers we don’t even know yet. But as a low cal and meat sub they are very good for you.

I had a mycologist as my professor in 2nd year Biology, many years ago. That was the beginning of my awareness of the astonishing world of mushrooms. I never walked in the forest again without realizing that there could be a massive network under my feet. This great lecture has added to my knowledge, and I thank you for that.

This makes me think of the planet Pandora, in the movie Avatar. As I watched that movie, I felt that we were being presented with a new way in which to view our own planetary home, and the Web of Life which connects us all. I see now that this mycelial web in our earth is the same as the energetic forcefield that connected life on Pandora. Many have wanted to leave Earth, to live on Pandora.
Let us restore our understanding of our own planet, and nurture it, and transform our own health as we restore our relationship with our Earth. <3
