      Hi Isabelle,
It may play a role in MS, how big of a role I’m not sure. Also, animal fats can be a problem, wheat, dairy, eggs, and legumes.
      I hope this helps.

FIRST: Are there conditions of “Thrush”-looking symptoms that are *not* Candida? I’ve had a stubborn, thick white coating on my tongue – yet all the Raw diet and Candida cleanses/protocols in the world don’t seem to make it budge.

SECOND: I’ve heard counter-theories and arguments to your Candida protocol that you announced at the last LongevityNow event. Specifically, they say that it’s not about eating sugar, but instead to focus on not eating too much FAT.

Their theory is this: “When we eat too much fat, that excess fat in the bloodstream diminishes insulin sensitivity, so sugar isn’t carried out as fast as it should to the cells. It accumulates in the bloodstream, feeding the candida yeast that is naturally present there. The candida then proliferates to ‘eat up’ the excess sugar.”
(Specifically I’ve heard this from from Dr. Douglas Graham & Frederic Patenaude).

Would you please comment on this – seemingly very different theory and approach?

    Thank-you for what you do!
    -Joseph

    Hey Avocado,

Watched your Candida videos. Excellent information, would have been nice to have seen the visuals. Like to get your Longevity DVD set once I get back out west.

While tonic herbs and super foods are important to one’s health and well being, they are secondary. The foundation of heath is having a harmonious relations with life and cultivating the three elixir fields. The three elixir fields are the three Dan Tiens: Lower in the abdomen for energy storage, middle is the Heart center, which the most powerful field of the body measuring 8 to 12 feet from the body, Third is the third eye/brain.

The heart being the perceptual center for our energetic relationship with each other, Mother Earth, and Spirit. In Taoism humans are between Heaven and Earth, with the heart being the point of balance in this dance we call life.

My question is why you do not speak of energy cultivation and QiGong as an essential tool?

    Thanks,

    Richasu

Mr. Young, with all due respect (as I’m sure your intentions are good), you are just making stuff up and passing it off as fact, not unlike the frauds who made up homeopathy.

It’s good for people to be healthy, and many of us need as many reasons to be healthy as we can get, but spreading misinformation makes you part of the problem and not the solution.

        Clint,
Your comment shows that you have not used homeopathics and and have no understanding of energetics and the implications for health.Health is not just a lack of symptoms it is about balance in all aspects of our lives. Please do your self a favour and do some reading of the ancient healing systems and you will discover that energy in balance is an integral factor in the healing process.

        Clint,

I am sure your intentions are good too. But: “you are just making stuff up and passing it off as fact” in your mail, especially when you say “not unlike the frauds who made up homeopathy”, is like practicing what you are preaching against. :)

I am not a homeopathic doctor or sell homeopathic products. But I can mighty well testify that they work wonders. And if you are one who simply reads stuff and decides to be on the side which you think is right without bothering to experiment, well then you will only spread more darkness :) Remember this, if today’s science can’t explain something convincingly, it doesn’t mean that that thing won’t work. Let’s go backwards. If it works, let’s keep the mind open and try to find out how it works. Maybe, just maybe, we might then find out how it does.

im 23 years old and have slept most of my life away .130 pounds like to be active when i have the energy..

my body craves sugur and will shut down if i dont get some..

I have candida spots on my skin and have had them for a least 10 years now. if it’s on my skin does this mean its in my gut?
    could i have leaky gut?
is this why im so tired all the time?
how do i find out if i have leaky gut from candida?

what can i take instead of sugar to keep me awake and in not so much of a foggy head…? that wont feed my candida?

i need energy to focus and function.. my life is unmanageable..

      Hi

I used to be sleeping my life away as well till I went to organic sugars, then weeded that out for fruit juices/ or fruit/ carrot juice.

Stimulants would be yerbe matte/guarana/ginsing etc,.. this takes a while but will work if you let it. You may find dandelion coffee a feel good drink?

My husband used to have a disorder where he would fall asleep anywhere and all the time. For one month I put him on homemade vegetable juice therapy, 2 quarts of carrot, beet, parsley, celery, garlic, and a small bit of apple daily. Since then 15 years ago he has never had that sleeping problem again.
I would suggest juicing or some super foods.
This will likely replace the cravings for sugar.

By the way juicing also gets rid of fibroid tumors. Worked for my sister and she used store bought Knudson veggie juice which seemed strange to me since we’ve been told heat destroys the enzymes. She worked 2 jobs, 70 hours a week and did this fast for 3 weeks then went in for surgery and they couldn’t find the grapefuit size fibroid nor the black mass.

Hi David, do you know anything about flat lichen? (lichen plano in spanish), I was diagnosed with it and have it only on the back of my right leg, do you know whether it has some relation with candida? I’ve seen photos on the internet, I think because I eat mostly raw foods my case is not as severe but is leaving brown marks in my leg and is moving, so I really need some guidance. I already gave up wheat (sprouted, raw) and other grains containing gluten. Sometimes I also have candida symptoms like vaginal discharge but is the only symptom. right now I’m fermenting vegetables to see if that helps.

      Hi David,

Blessings to you for bringing such light to the planet!

When I was a teenager I was given tetracycline for several years for a few pimples. In my early 20′s I stopped drinking so much milk and the few pimples left. I’m now in my late 40′s with many years of health problems I believe partly from candida and taking so many antibiotics. I have been doing the candida diet, probiotics, etc for perhaps 15 years as well. But any time I eat fruit (I would not do sugar) I still have problems.

Would using a terminator zapper continuously for some time finally remove enough candida from my system so I can eat fruit again without symptoms?
How long would you suggest to use the terminator zapper for (weeks, months)?

      With much love and gratitude,
      Heather

I had hypothyroidism. I drink vegtable juice in the morning and add seaweed into the juice and salad dressings I make. I try and eat salad before I eat lunch and dinner. I’m low raw working to high raw. Three months into this regeim I had such a detox I had my doctor run tests to make sure I wasn’t ailling from something. My thyroid came out completely normal as did my high blood sugar. I’m off all my meds. I told my mom who was also starting to see hypothyroid symptoms come up she added in the seaweed and many of her symptoms discipated. I’d say she is closer to high raw than I. I came from a really frighteningly high vitamin deficient diet. I’m working on how to get to the candida next.

Hi David. Am really looking forward to you visiting us down here in Australia in the coming weeks ;-) … this stuff is awesome..

I understand that Cancer has been proven to be a parasitical fungus, even in medical journals as far back as the 1920′s.

From your latest work on various fungi and some other’un-wanted guests’, do you think that cancer is a general candida, that has built on top of various other layers of nano bacteria such as calcification and chemical intake environment and vulnerable immune deficient areas of the body.. to generate the right ecosystem for its habitat? or is it a particular strain of fungus that is different to many of the common forms of candida found in people that take too much chemical ridden and dead foods?

i guess my question is.. is cancer a unique form of fungus? .. or just more of what is already there in people .. that is starting to over run vulnerable areas from being fed its main source of food (processed foods / sugers / chemicals etc.)..

thanks David.. love ya work mate.
    cheers,
    Tim.

It’s hard for me to conceptualize how one can stay 100% raw when trying to heal candida if most nuts and all sugar are eliminated from the diet ….(BED seems to eliminate most nuts except soaked almonds and at least in the book by Donna Gates the diet does not seem to promote 100% raw)…do you think there may be a place for some cooked food during this healing process and what are your thoughts on the body type theory which says some people actually thrive on animal protein? I’m finding that the only way I’m satisfied on the raw food diet is to eat a lot of the forbidden foods which keep my body ecology in an uproar …I’ve also found that I’ve needed warming foods in the winter… I’m drawn to adding in cooked foods again for a period of time as laid out in BED for at least a few months until I can get this inner ecology straigtened out…any thoughts?

    **Tonsilloliths and Candida.**

Around the age of 12 I started having very bad breath. Horrid actually, and I started hacking up I guess they are known as Tonsil Stones or Tonsilloliths – small, hard, foul smelling off -white globs that would accumulate on my tonsils.

I have found that when I eat high glycemic foods – specifically fruit (bananas, mangoes etc.) regularly, they appear, yet when I stop the sugar, it’s not a problem at all.

Question: Are these tonsil stones yeast/candida related? And how is this problem solved once and for all?

Question # 2 – Leg Hair – Can candida cause the falling of leg hair/balding on the shins? Or is this just hormone imbalance issues?

    HI David

First. Do all the nobel mushrooms help with fghting candida? or is reshi the best?

Second. If you make a slurry with aloe vera and pau’darco tea to draw out toe fungus…how long do you soak your feet in it everday and how many days? Also does it have to be freshly made everyday…or can you reuse the same slurry each day? Can you also take aloe vera internally to help combate the fungus?

third. What is the minimum time you should do a candida cleanse where you cut out all aggravating foods and foods that feed the candida? Do these foods include whole grains? And should you be taking pau’darco, reshi, horsetail during the no sugar phase, or allow the candida to starve first and then kill it off?

Thank you so much in advance

    Hi David

I dont know if I have Candida or Irritable Bowel Syndrom or Leaky Bowel Syndrome or gastric parasites or what is going on…
But I know I dont feel vital and energetic and I feel clogged and backed up.
I’m wondering about how to treat my situation since I dont really know what the details of my issues are.

Is there something like a master reset button I can implement?

For instance I’m seriously considering doing an intense fast.
What would you recommend in that regards?
    Water fast? Vegetable juice fast?
    How long?
Any details you could share about a recommended fast would be much appreciated…

What are some foods I should definitely avoid after the fast?

    Thank you David!

    comment for David:

I have been through a systemic candida “hell” many years ago. It took years (actually decades) to figure out that kidney weakness causes a “swamp” in the body that continually keeps candida in the body. No matter what you do cannot completely stop the process unless you deal with strengthening and healing the kidneys – perhaps with chinese herbs and acupuncture. In addition: colonics (to rid the body of die-off) and the strongest Pau d”arco tea you can ingest – glasses full. Also NO CARBS or sugars.

Why is it necessary to badmouth 80/10/10? It works *for most, like anything* when you eliminate all fats, ie: nuts, avo’s, seeds, etc…during the healing.

Can’t we support the diverse methods of the live food path and keep it supportive?

Because when you keep an open mind and hang around with a wide enough variety of people who have been doing raw for a long time… you pretty quickly see that the number of people hurt by it far outweigh the number helped. Many (not all) that claim to be helped are far more in love with the philosophy than the results, which past initial weight loss, usually include rigidity (of both body and mind), b12 problems, tooth problems and emotional instability. The number of people I’ve known swearing publicly about the fabulous results of 80/10/10 while privately having huge problems is staggering. Of course the pattern of teaching that 80/10/10 is the One True Path, immediately makes them label themselves as the problem, not the protocol. Frequently other 80/10/10′ers will reinforce this.

People sold on the idea that “all the other raw teachers are evil and wrong!” (as seems the fashion in 80/10/10) look for another absolutist cult to join when they’re faced with the long term health problems it creates.

This is how 80/10/10 has created more raw meat eaters than the beef marketing board ever will.

If this hasn’t been your experience yet, I encourage you to talk to a wider range of people and hang around a bit longer. It’s pretty clear after a while as long as you don’t isolate yourself from the wider community.

Does anyone believe that we can get our bodies to a place where we are strong and intelligent enough where we can eat whatever we want, and absorb and use what we need from it and eliminate anything we don’t need? While of course eating high quality herbs and foods with high mineral content on the side?

    Comments?

I feel like we give our power away alot to all this. WE are strong spiritual beings and we can train our bodies to deal with not so good food. the most important thing in life I believe is that we are living our souls purpose, in our divine presence completely centered in our sacred heart space. 80 percent raw, 85 percent, this and that, come on, Raw food so sooo important, but take it easy on the details. follow your intuition and focus more on doing what your here on this earth to DO!!!

But don’t get me wrong, eating raw foods and these medicines have helped me realize and actualize my purpose in life, just not a good idea to get to ANAL about it all and to worried how raw you are. It can become a phobia. just feel the balance and be blissful in the balance you are creating in your life with this beautiful information and education David Wolfe is bring us all.

I have lived in Japan for 20 years and eat Natto every day(Fermented soy beans). I buy non-GMO, locally grown organic Natto. David recommends against using fermented soy, (which is a staple diet in Japan and has been for hundreds of years. Japan still has the longest average lifespan in the world too) Soy in the US may be genetically modified, but the message should be more clearer! It’s a great food if you can get the best produce and not something to avoid. Dr. Mercola mentioned this on his call with David and writes about the incredible health benefits of soy on his site: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2004/08/04/fermented-soy.aspx Less mixed messages are required for people to keep on track!

Great info. Couldn’t be better timing for me, I just started the Body Ecology protocol for fungal issues last month. It’s not easy, but I do feel great.

Friends asked why I haven’t experienced any massive ‘die off’ symptoms (I was kinda wondering myself). Turns out, my zapper purchase 6 mos ago and regular use of horsetail & nettle tea may have something to do it. I started drinking that tea after watching a pre-Longevity Now video where you talked about the silicon and magnesium (which your body converts to calcium) in that mixture. Now, I’ve simply added some Pau D’Arco to the mix.

From your description, I probably don’t have Candida, but definitely have disbyosis and some other fungal issues. Good to know.

For any others who may be on this journey, the cultured veggies and kefir have been essential, along with digestive enzymes and probiotics at each meal. Once your inner ecology has been obliterated, it can take a while to build it back up. Kevin Gianni mentioned that anyone in this condition MAY need to consume some animal products for a time. I know that I certainly crave milk-based kefir right now. As my body heals and my inner ecology returns to optimum, I can turn back to a more vegan way of eating.

Thanks for all the terrific info!

To clear candida, heavy metals must be removed! Displacement of candida by food sourced lactic bacteria and the various acids created will change the ecology. Human source bacteria are not meant for human consumption! Only food source bacteria fit within the natural cycle of food ingestion (see http://www.genkifoods.com). Homeopathic candida clearing is proof of the emotional connection to candida and must be dealt with before the physical can shift. It’s the terrain not the bug!!! Emotional and Spiritual as the Yin factors need subtle energy. Physical and Mental as the Yang factors need subtle matter! The food sourced bugs level the playing field for both of these subtle needs.

    Hey there,

Loving this info on candida. I’d love to know more about alternative ‘sweeteners’ too: dong quai? yacon, zylitol, etc. Which one is best/most nourishing for candida sufferers?

Also, might you possibly be able to explain the role candida and other fungi/unwanted guests play in hypoglycaemia?

What might a typical daily food plan for a candida sufferer ideally look like?

Is it best to ferment at home, or buy fermented products, such as sauercraut? Kefir cultures can vary wildly, are they best avoided so not to consume unknown bacteria? You’ve probably talked about this before, but what about kombucha! We know you love it!

Thanks so much :) xx can’t wait to get zapping!

My four year old daughter has recently been seen by a child psychologist and we were told that she is showing early signs of bipolar disorder. I do not have it but it does run in my family. With everything I have read so far most of the symtoms fit her to a T. I do not want to medicate her I would rather find other means of help. Her doctor suggested behavior modification therapy. I am not sure of the right way to handle her at her most extreme points and feel more terrible about displining her now that we have news that she might have this disorder. We usually put her in time out in a chair or the corner but now more than ever nothing seems to be working and I feel that we are constantly losing the battles. I want to help her overcome her feelings of insecurity and anxiety. At this point my husband and I are exhausted from every angle.
